How does it work?
Stage 1: Team Needs Analysis:
Together, we evaluate the current stage of your team. How motivated and engaged are they? What personality clashes are causing issues? How agile are they as a team and able to flex their working style to the current demands of your business?
These are just a few of the issues that can occur in any team.
This stage is about fact-finding. Understanding how your team currently operate, and exploring areas where improvement in team working will lead to a higher performing team and a better functioning business.
Stage 2: Individual Insights:
Most teams are assembled on the basis of their skill sets; what motivates the individuals in the team is often not considered. And the higher the level of seniority, the more important personal motivators become to the success of the business. After all, the characters of your senior leaders will have a significant impact on the culture of the business, the decisions that are made, and ultimately its success.
Areas where motivation affects performance include: risk taking, change, flexibility and team building.
First up, each team member completes a self-assessment. This is followed by a confidential 1-1 feedback session, where individuals discover the true force and consequences of their motivators, the reason for any indecision, why they clash with certain team members, and what they are likely to avoid.
As their team leader, you will also go through the self assessment and feedback process, and discover the impact your own motivators are having on how you are leading your team and the business.
Stage 3: The Main Event
This one or two day Workshop brings your entire team together for an honest and open discussion about their motivators, in a psychologically safe environment. This structured disclosure leads to mutual understanding, greater trust and improved communication and collaboration.
Your Team will gain a greater understanding of the reason behind their individual behaviours, identify what they need to do to resolve any disharmony that exists and improve collaboration.
Additionally, as their leader, you will gain valuable insight into each individual member of your team and what you can do to improve levels of motivation and team cohesion.
As dynamics improve and the team’s collective energy is raised, this workshop provides the perfect opportunity to harness the momentum achieved and go on to develop the team’s process for working together.
